Tektura falistaTypes of cardboard for packaging

At the time of packaging selection, it is also very important to choose the type of cardboard from which it is to be made. Each type is characterised by specific properties such as stiffness, crushing strength, bending strength, etc.

We offer corrugated cardboard sheets of any size. Its shape and final form depends on individual customer expectations.

Corrugated cardboard packaging can be divided into the following taking into account the flute height:

Single wall board – consists of two smooth paper layers and one corrugated one.
It is usually used for the production of Regular Slotted Containers, but also for die cut boxes and dividers, cardboard cell dividers, etc. The types of flutes in single wall boards are:

  • Microflute (E flute) – flute height between 1.1 and 1.7 mm,
  • Fine flute (B flute) – flute height between 2.5 and 3.0 mm,
  • Medium flute (C flute) – flute height between 3.0 and 3.7 mm.

Double wall board – consists of three smooth paper layers and two corrugated ones.
It is characterized by high stiffness, therefore it is used to produce bulk packaging of larger sizes, as well as dividers, corner and edge protectors of high strength. The types of flutes in case of double wall boards are:

  • BC flute – flute height between 5.5 and 6.7 mm,
  • EB flute – flute height between 3.6 and 4.7 mm.

We also offer single face board in rolls in standard widths: 80, 100 and 120 cm. Single face board is used for packing and wrapping irregularly shaped objects, delicate products made of porcelain or glass, for protecting surfaces, painting and renovation and construction works.
